Copyright Policy

Last updated:

Vasly lets you store photos and notes about properties you are considering. You are responsible for the content you add, and you may only upload photos you took or created yourself, or that you have permission to use. This is set out in section 4 of our Terms of Service.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others, and we respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement. This policy explains how to report content on Vasly that you believe infringes your copyright, and what to do if your content is removed. It follows the process set out in the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (the "DMCA"); we apply an equivalent process for rights holders based outside the United States.

1. Reporting infringing content

If you own a copyright, or are authorized to act for the owner, and you believe material on Vasly infringes that copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent (see section 5). For us to act on it, your notice must include all of the following:

Please note: under United States law (17 U.S.C. 512(f)), a person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing can be liable for damages. If you are not sure whether material is infringing, consider speaking to a lawyer before sending a notice.

2. What happens after we receive a notice

When we receive a notice that meets the requirements above, we will remove or disable access to the material in question, normally within a few business days. We will make a reasonable effort to notify the account holder who uploaded the material and pass on a copy of your notice, including your contact details, so they can respond. If a notice is incomplete, we may ask you for the missing information before we act.

3. Filing a counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, for example because you own the content, have permission to use it, or it is not protected by copyright, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent. It must include:

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material after 10 to 14 business days, unless the original complainant tells us they have filed a court action seeking to keep the material down.

4. Repeat infringers

Uploading content you do not have the right to use is a breach of our Terms of Service. We will suspend or close, without refund, the account of any user who is the subject of repeated infringement complaints, or of a single egregious one.

5. Designated agent and contact

Send copyright notices and counter-notices to Vasly's designated copyright agent by email at hello@vasly.app, with "Copyright notice" in the subject line. If you need to send a notice by post, email us first and we will provide a postal address.

Please use this channel only for copyright matters. For general support, billing, or account questions, email hello@vasly.app or see our Help page.

6. Changes

We will update this page when material changes happen and note it in the in-app changelog. Continued use of Vasly after a change means you accept the updated policy.
